The Methods to Clean The Belly Button Dirt:

You do not need to buy any artificial cleaning solution to clean that dirt because artificial or chemical ingredients are unsuitable for our bodies and harm us. We should always opt for natural alternatives. Moreover, if we have to follow the steps regularly, it is better to opt for those easily available products at our houses so that you do not have to run to the local markets every time you decide to give it a clean.

All the ingredients that I will talk about are easily available at our home. So let us know the methods and the ingredients.

Method one:

Things that you will need:

  1. Cotton swab
  2. Rubbing alcohol
  3. Clean cloth

The Process:

  • First, take a clean cotton swab and put some drops of rubbing alcohol on it.
  • Now clean the insides of your belly button with the cotton swab.
  • Once you are done, take another clean cotton swab.
  • Wipe off any residue with its help.
  • Take another cotton swab and make it moist. 
  • Clean the insides of your belly button to ensure that there is no alcohol residue left.
  • Take a clean piece of cloth and make it wet. Next, clean the area with a wet washcloth.
  • Make sure that you wipe off the alcohol well; otherwise, it can lead to dry skin.
  • Also, if you apply moisturizer after taking a shower, do not apply it to the belly button. It can accumulate more dirt.

Method Two:

Things that are required:

  1. Clean washcloth
  2. Any mild soap
  3. Water

The Process:

  • You can follow this method regularly while you take a shower. First, take a clean piece of cloth and make it wet.
  • Apply some mild liquid body wash or any soap to it and make lather. You can use baby soaps as well because they will not dry out the area.
  • Clean the belly button area with it. You do not have to go inside to clean it. Following this process regularly will keep the area clean, and dirt will not build up there.
  • Now wash off the lather by washing off the cloth and wipe off any residue with the clean wet cloth.
  • Rinse any foam that you can still find on the area surrounding your belly button.

Method Three:

If you think that your belly button is smelling, follow this step to eliminate any unnecessary odor.

Things that are required:

  1. Cotton ball
  2. Bathing salt
  3. Container
  4. Lukewarm water
  5. A tablespoon to measure

The Process:

  • Take a container and put some water into it. Boil the water and turn the flame off.
  • Let it cool down a bit and add one tablespoon of bathing salt or Epsom salt to it and mix it well with the spoon.
  • Now dip a cotton ball in it and squeeze out the excess water.
  • Clean the belly button with its help, and if you find it is not cleaned properly, repeat the process. Epsom salt will absorb any unnecessary odor and also clean the area. If you do not have access to Epsom salt, you can also make some saline water at your home by adding edible salt to the water.
  • Now, take another clean and dry cotton ball and wipe off the residue.
  • Dip the cotton ball in fresh water and clean the area surrounding the belly button for the last time.
  • Now, you can rinse the area with water and take a shower.
