Run one empty cycle on a hot wash with no clothes to flush out the drum before you wash for the first time.
Selecting a Wash Programme
Turn the central dial (or tap the programme button on touch-control models) to choose your cycle. The most useful Toshiba programmes are:

Loading and Detergent Tips
- Do not overfill — leave a hand-width of space at the top of the drum so clothes can tumble freely.
- Use the correct amount of detergent; too much creates excess suds and can trigger an overflow error.
- Add fabric softener to the marked compartment in the drawer, not directly onto clothes.
- Close the door firmly until it clicks, or the cycle will not start.
