1. Child Lock Active
When child lock is on, the control panel buttons are disabled and pressing Start has no effect. Look for a key or lock icon on the display. 2. Door Not Closing Properly
Check the door seal — if it has slipped out of its groove, push it back into place so the door can close flush. Inspect the door catch (on the machine body) and the door latch hook for visible damage or lint build-up. Clean any debris from the catch slot. If the latch is cracked or broken, a replacement is needed — contact Godrej service.
3. Power Supply or Fuse Problem
If the display shows nothing at all — no lights, no numbers — check the power socket, plug, and house fuse board. Ensure the washing machine is plugged directly into a wall socket rated at 15A or higher. Avoid using extension cords or multi-plug adaptors, which can cause voltage drops that prevent the machine from starting.
4. Water Supply Not Detected
The machine requires adequate water pressure to start most cycles. Check that the inlet tap is fully open, the inlet hose is not kinked, and the small mesh filter inside the inlet hose coupling is not blocked with sediment. To clean the filter: turn off the tap, unscrew the hose, pull out the filter with pliers, rinse under tap water, replace, and reconnect.
