The Return Window

CaratLane offers a 30-day return policy for jewellery in its original, unworn condition. This means:

  • You have 30 days from the date of delivery (for online orders) or purchase (for in-store purchases) to return the piece.
  • The jewellery must be in its original condition — unworn, undamaged, unaltered, with all original tags and packaging.
  • Customised or personalised jewellery (e.g., engraved pieces) is typically not eligible for return.

Conditions for Return

  • The piece must be in original, unworn condition.
  • Original certificate(s) (e.g., IGI or GIA diamond certificate) must be returned with the product.
  • Original packaging, pouch, and any complimentary gifts included with the order must be returned.
  • Solitaire jewellery (pieces above a specified diamond weight) may be subject to separate terms — check the product listing.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Visit the CaratLane website or app and go to Orders.
  2. Select the order and click Return/Exchange.
  3. Choose the reason for return and select Return for Refund or Exchange.
  4. Schedule a free pickup from your address (for online orders) or drop the item at a CaratLane store or Tanishq outlet.
  5. Once the returned piece is inspected and accepted, the refund is processed.

Refund Process

  • Online payments: Refunded to the original payment method (credit card, UPI, net banking) within 7–10 business days after return inspection.
  • Cash payments at store: Refunded by bank transfer (NEFT) to your registered account.
  • If you paid using a CaratLane gift card, the refund is issued back to the gift card.

Exchange Policy

CaratLane also allows exchanges — you can exchange a piece for a different design of equal or higher value. Exchanges follow the same 30-day window and condition requirements. If the new piece costs more, you pay the difference. Exchanges can be done in-store at any CaratLane or participating Tanishq outlet for added convenience.
